Job Outlook

Information Technology is a major industry in Washington and the need for qualified workers to join the industry continues to grow. Developers are not only needed at tech companies, but across all industries - retail, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, and many others.

Like in Washington, the demand for software developers is booming nationally. The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that between 2018-2028, the number of software development positions will increase by 21%. In 2017, the median salary for software developers was over $100,000.
